The School’s Mission Statement

The school’s mission is formed in order to support the accomplishment of faculty and university mission. In general, the university wants to realize the best generation or called “khoiruummah” in various scientific facets organized by university. The term “khoiruummah” is a big hope whereby the best generation will be formed comprehensively with the basic moral of Islam as rahmatallilalamin (a mercy to all creation) and professionalism on each field. The faculty plans to be a prominent school in raising a generation of Islamic civilization builder through transformative education in accounting and management. Therefore, strategy is formed to produce professional alumni in the field of accounting and management with complete hard skill and soft skill learning in accordance with market needs and Islamic ethics.

Specifically the school’s mission is defined in the field of accounting in order to realize the comprehensive learning process. The school’s Quality Control Unit, periodically conducts research and analysis toward the recent condition related with the needs of accounting fields that provide benefits for environment and society. The needs toward professional in the fields of accounting recently in Indonesia, are divided into various branches. One of the branches is Islamic accounting. It can be seen from the high enthusiasm of halal life style in the last few decades, and it influenced the emergence of sharia industries that require the recording of bookkeeping with sharia principles. In addition, the needs for professional accountants who uphold ethics and moral have also suffered scarcity, meanwhile many cases of fraud were found by the accountants. This phenomenon happens globally, specifically in ASEAN countries.

Refer to the phenomenon above, the UPA decided to determine the focus of the mission in order to be a prominent school with comprehensive learning in the field of Islamic accountingin ASEAN.

The School’s Strategies for Quality Improvement
